HDMI Distribution Amplifier: Supreme quality digital audio and video transmission

A HDMI distribution amplifier allows HDMI output devices to be connected to one or more HDTV displays. It allows simultaneous distribution to up to 8 displays. A greater number of configurations can be achieved by daisy chaining multiple devices. Installation is easy with just a single cable connecting the source device to the splitter and each of the displays. Equipped with the ability to ability to split the video signal, duplicate it and distribute it to multiple displays, these devices provide a low cost solution for video and audio equipment integration. Available in a wide range of sizes such as 2, 4 and 8 ports and matrix combinations such as 2x2, 2x4, 4x4, 2x8 and 8X8  this HDMI distribution amplifier, is a combination of a HDMI splitter and a HDMI switch.

Also known as a splitter, it supports Set-top boxes, DVD players, D-VHS players, play stations, and other high definition devices. HDMI and HDCP compliant, they support VGA resolutions of 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768, 1920x1200 and HDTV resolutions of 480i/576i/480p/576p/720p/1080i/1080P at a frequency of 165 MHz. The HDCP standard which it follows prevents video data from being pirated; resulting in crisp and clear images. Reduction of clutter, saving of desktop space, compact size, low power consumption, plug and play functionality and no requirement of additional software or device drivers are some of its key features. This Distribution amplifier can work with both DVI as well as HDMI input.

CE, FCC and RoHS compliant, these amplifiers are equipped with front panel buttons for switching between devices. Infra Red remote control, TCP/IP and RS232 can also be used for the same. LEDs indicate the status of the selected device. Compatible with almost all operating systems, this device does not convert the digital signals to analog and then back to digital but keeps all signals in an uncompressed digital format. Since this splitter provides the interface to view high quality audio and video, it is used in conference and training facilities, digital signage applications, boardrooms, data centers and surveillance agencies.  The HDMI distribution amplifier is one of the latest digital audio and video connector.

I have a 32" Samsung 1080p LCD. How do I switch the HDMI source to 1920x1080 resolution. its in 1280x720 now

You're going to have to set your device to output at 1080i or 1080p, if possible. Check your output device's settings menu to make sure you're getting a 1080 resolution, if possible.
