ELGFT401 40" 1080p LCD HDTV from Element Electronics?
I just bought this TV from wallmart, i havent tested it yet or anything but i was just wondering if this particular model is any good. Ive been reading reviews and so far they say that element loses its brightness in a couple years and so and so... if anything ill power grind my TV for hours and see whats up before the 30 days.. if anything goes bad ill just return it and prolly get a better brand TV.
What worries me is the long term effects.. cuz if it works fine during the trial and everything i dont wanna replace my tv in a couple years i kinda want it to last more than that 
If you don't want to take high risk for reliability , paid more for upper brand TV. WORTH for a little more.
ELGFT401 is so call buyer brand / House brand . TV supply by China small maker. use low quality parts, even select low quality LCD display panel, good for prices. not quality and subject to reliable.
you may not need a quality pictures , just an TV ? but keeps sending TV for repair is free during warranty, but cost shipping charge and value time , you may with out TV from 2 to 4 weeks.usually Mose of the house brand TV having power supply problems in 1 to 2 years. also need to replace the LCD display panel in 3 years. of course , if you LUCK is good, no problems at all.
Samsung / LG / Sony / Sharp / Panasonic / Toshiba manufactures TV by OWN ! designs back-up by 40 + years R & D team , products sold worldwide ( more than 60 electronics items sold under OWN brand ) Quality is important to them not prices . 94 % of the above brand TV able to use up to 6 to 8 years with out any repair.
