How to sync my dish network remote?
I just got a new plasma tv and i want to sync my remote so i do not need to walk up and turn off the tv and change the volume~! so how do you sync it? if you say the code how do you type the code it? i have a 20 inch Concertone tv!
Scan for codes:
1. Turn the TV on. Stand in front of it...about 3 feet away.
2. With Dish remote in hand, hold down the TV mode button until all the mode lights flash at you once (SAT,TV,DVD,AUX).
3. Lift your finger off of the TV mode button. It should be flashing continuously at you.
4. Press the TV power on the remote once. Point the remote at the TV.
5. Press the channel up button (the up arrow button) once every second or two seconds.
6. When the TV turns off on you, STOP PUSHING THE CHANNEL UP BUTTON IMMEDIATELY. Go to the # button and press it once.
7. The TV mode button should blink at you 3 times. TV code is set.
8. Try to turn the TV on with the remote. If it doesn't turn on, you pushed the channel up button one too many times and went past the code. Return to step 1.
If you cannot get the remote to do the above, do this....
1. Do steps 1-3
2. Type in one of those 3-digit codes for your brand of TV.
3. Press the # button. The TV mode button should blink 3 times.
4. Try to operate the TV with the remote.
5. If it doesn't operate the TV, repeat until you either find the code or go through all of them. In some instances, the code is not in the remote and you'll have to settle for the TV remote to turn the TV on and off and change the volume.
