LG's initial setup screen is easy and straightforward to follow. you are presented with varied screen choices (brightness, color, contrast, etc.) beside pictures of what the perfect setting ought to seem like thus you recognize what impact your changes can have on the image.
I have Dish Network and easily connected the Dish receiver to the TV via HDMI. The LG remote is nicely laid out and permits fast access to the assorted TV's settings. I've found that once the initial setup and a couple of hours of TV watching, I had to create a couple of tweaks to the colour and distinction settings to urge the image simply the approach I wished it. That was expected and therefore the tweaks were minor. The image quality is extremely smart. I even have a Vizio 32" LCD and this unit's image quality is simply somewhat beyond the Vizio. i might advocate this unit for an off-the-cuff bedroom or small-room gaming setting.
once using this TV for a couple of weeks, the sole factor I wished to feature to my review was my dislike of the approach the red power lightweight, on the lower right-hand facet of the unit, stays lit when the TV is off. there is not any approach that I've found to show this lightweight off or dim it. it isn't obnoxiously bright, like my previously owned Vizio which might keep it's emblem lit with white lightweight in the least times, however you may notice it if the TV is near your bed (assuming it's placed in a very bedroom). When the unit is powered on the sunshine turns blue and remains on. When using the remote management, the blue lightweight blinks with each button press. Why do that? I even have many LCD TV's by totally different makers and no different unit will this. It's strange however solely slightly annoying. Overall image quality continues to be fantastic and that i still advocate shopping for it.

Why does my 720p LCD TV say 480i when I am watching cable TV?
I bought a 32 inch LCD Toshiba today, and it is a great reviewed television. I am wondering why when I watch cable and i look at the settings it says it is on 480i. Do I have to buy HD cable from my provider, or can I change this through the settings?

The channel isn't 720p, you gotta contact your cable service provider and ask for an HD package or browse through the channels and find one that's 720p.
