Compare LCD TV to Plasma TV
Most people are confused by the two types of flat screen technologies and selecting between them can be no easy task. For that you should compare LCD TV to Plasma TV, here's some information that might be useful for you.
LCD screen has two panels that have a crystal-filled liquid between them. Crystal serves to block light and allow light through and the results of millions of crystals of doing this is the picture on the screen. Action is triggered by crystal voltage.
While plasma Tv has millions of small glass cell filled with rare gases like neon and xenon. The cells are illuminated by the phosphors are activated by the electrode and each cell consists of three color phosphors: red, blue and green. Plasma TVs can last for 20.000 to 30.000 hours. This means that could run for around 20 years with an average usage of 4 hours a day. However, LCD TVs last longer with a lifespan reaching to 50,000 or even 60,000 hours, meaning it could last 40 years with an average daily usage of 4 hours.
When we compare LCD TV to plasma TV based on price, of course, the LCD TV is more expensive than plasma TV. LCD TV only uses less electricity. However the current flat-screen became a popular choice among the other TV.

I have a 46 inch plasma LG plasma tv. All of a sudden the TV has no picture or sound but turns on. Help!?
Ive had it for about a year now. Now warranty. Does anyone know what could have caused this problem and how to fix it? thanks Btw the tv was hooked to a dvd player which has a usb port and my friend tried to charge his iphone through it the same day.
