We had a 52 "Samsung, which I bought for my mother. We look at the TV for two years and are very happy. For this reason we decided to stay with Samsung. This 40" TV fits Our room was perfect and a comparison of 60 Hz LCD HDTV coexist (DVD to play exactly the same character) at 120Hz, I notice no difference. Since 60Hz was about $ 150 less, I decided on this TV. We are very pleased with the results.
We just watch TV - do not do gaming, watching DVDs, or Blu-Ray. So viewers are fairly basic. The picture is excellent at all angles of vision - without distortion. My girlfriend came two days, and Samsung wants to his mother. I think you can not go wrong when you have a database of TV viewers like us! Anyway, I'm not sure I can say this, but I have this TV prices at Walmart for $ 674.00 online, but with Amazon, we pay no shipping or taxes! Amazon, by far the cheapest prices for Best Buy, Walmart and online stores. The boys were on the TV to break out of the box set and made it back. They were great. Transport is to synchronize with external antenna and Dish TV is something else, but two phone calls, the food was everything I had. We walked in an hour or so. Excellent shopping experience!

GREAT PICTURE AND GREAT REMOTE
I realize that this is probably a "guy thing" but this remote is the quickest responding remote of any flat screen I've seen. It also has a "favorite" button where you can easily program it to just scan your favorite channels. I got this TV for my mother and was so pleased with it, that I ordered another for myself before they change anything. I'm really happy. I've also bought the Western Digital TV Live device for $119 at Amazon. This allows me to view my digital pictures on my 40" Samsung TV via the inexpensive $2.63 HDMI cable. Wow!
Pretty Sweet
I've had this TV for about a day now and I really like it. My roomie played COD:MW2 for like 6 hours straight on the first day I got it. Picture is awesome and am very happy with the purchase.
Excellent LCD TV
Did a lot of research on TVs before I decided to get this one. Was not excited about the 120hz TVs; do not like the soap opera/camcorder motion. I was debating if I should get the internet options with the apps on the other models, but I have a PS3 so it wasnt worth paying for the extra features. So I got this 60hz LCD and I have no regrets! The picture this TV produces are amazing, especially on Blu Ray. I watched my New Zealand vacation videos on it and it really brings out the colors and makes my video look even more movie like. Avatar looks amazing on it as well. I got it for $640 and worth every dime.
Great Basic 40" Digital Television
This is a great basic level Digital Television with 1080 resolution. It does not have the fastest response time, or the 120 Hz option, but dollar of dollar it is a good deal on a quality product. The only negative item is I paid $640, and now its $670? (As of the time I wrote this - I was going to order another but will wait and see if price goes back down.

Playstation 3 or XBox 360 - Which one for my 15yr old at XMAS 2009?
I have read all the reviews etc, yet am more confused than ever... Please help?
Situation to consider...
I am buying a 42" HDTV to link them to.
History of Playstation use - have quite a few 'old' PS2 games, Sing Star etc (But would they be compatible on latest PS3?).
Have Wireless Broadband.
He likes playing Call of Duty 4 on his PC.
Like the thought of the Blue Ray on the PSP to play HD Films (But have none at the moment!)
Like the cheaper price tag of the XBox which would leave cash for extra games.
If you have both consoles or either one, please give your opinion, thoughts and advice. If anyone in the UK has just bought one for this Xmas, your 'Best Deal' buying advice would also be appreciated.
Please ignore those that say X360 is way better. Neither console is way better than the other.
Spec wise the PS3 outperforms the XBOX 360. It has a more powerful engine and is capable of producing better graphics. The PS3 has more user friendly control pads and has Blue-Ray player. However the most important thing that sets the two apart is ONLINE GAMING. The PS3 is free to play online and the XBOX isn't. PS3 Wins. PS3 Slim is the only version they sell now i think, and it is not backward compatible. XBOX is. Both consoles have great exclusives.

6). Lighter and much more quiter.
7). Metal Gear Solid, God of War, Uncharted, Killzone
8). XBOX 360 Has already met it's potential, PS3 is still getting there and is still better right now.

2). Left 4 Dead, Gears of War, Halo
3). Achievement System
4). Cheaper
PS3 is definately the better system and i don't play consoles.
