Is there a cheap way to view paper photos on a TV without converting them to digital?
I've never used a multimedia projector before so I'm not sure if that would work, but after seeing the cheapest for around $500, I don't think I would want to go that route anyways. Is there any other cheaper options of being able to "project" the images of traditional paper photos onto the wall or big screen TV? I have hundreds of photos I would like to view with several family members at the same time, but don't want to have to spend a huge amount of time converting them to digital images... and I know using the negatives to convert would save alot of time, but I do not have all the negatives. Some of the photos are very old.
You could use a digital camera with a video output jack that plugs into the tv. Just put it on a tripod and change the photos. That would be the cheapest way. I know it works with my old Canon powershot A610. It works essentially like a video camera. When I was in school, they used opaque projectors. You would put a photo or book under the projector and it was projected up on to a screen. Looks like they still make them, although they seem expensive. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/buy/Opaque-Projectors/ci/1513/N/4294545990 You might check Ebay.
