Can I repair Y and Z Sustain Boards on Hitachi Plasma 42PD380TA?
I have a Hitachi Plasma TV model 42PD380TA (20 months old and out of warranty). Recently we lost the picture but still have sound. Have had a quote to repair and was told we need to replace the Y and Z sustain boards at a cost of $680.00. Does this sound to dear or about the right price? Can I repair the boards myself? Does anyone know a tv repair man in Melbourne who could repair or replace at a much cheaper price than was quoted?
that is a pretty average quote. It doesn't matter what repair guy you get, its the parts that cost a lot.
