About the nationally-televised games
Eleven nationally-televised games, including as many as seven prime contests on ESPN, highlight Kansas State's 16-game Big 12 Conference schedule released by league officials on Tuesday.
The 11 national television contests include four previously announced games on ESPN's Big Monday as well as road games against Texas A&M on Jan. 22 (1 p.m.) and Kansas (TBA) on Jan. 29 and a home contest against Missouri on Feb. 26 (TBA) on the network. The package also includes two appearances on ESPN2 and three more on ESPNU. For the first time, all 16 conference games will be available on the ESPN family of networks or the Big 12 Network.
In the past five seasons, the Wildcats have made 47 national television appearances on ABC Sports, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or Fox Sports Net compared to just five the previous six years combined.
In addition to these national telecasts, K-State will have five regular season games broadcast as a part of the Big 12 Conference Television network, beginning with the home game with Texas Tech on Saturday, Jan. 15 at 12:30 p.m. The network will also televise home games with Nebraska on Feb. 2 (7 p.m.), Oklahoma on Feb. 19 (3 p.m.) and Iowa State on March 5 (12:30 p.m.) and the road tilt with Iowa State on Feb.5 (12:30 p.m.).
"Playing 16 conference games will again be another daunting task," said head coach Frank Martin. "Coupled with the opportunities to play 11 of those on national television, including four on ESPN's "Big Monday", will provide tremendous challenges and opportunities for the continued growth of our program."
K-State tips off Big 12 play on the road against NCAA Tournament participant Oklahoma State before a national audience on ESPN2 on Saturday, Jan. 8 at 8 p.m. It will mark the first conference opener against the Cowboys since 1999. Overall, the squads have met eight other times in league openers since 1959, including six times in Stillwater. The contest with OSU will be one of nine against teams that advanced to the postseason in 2009-10, including eight that went to the NCAA Tournament.
The Wildcats will open Big 12 play at home against Colorado on Jan. 12 on ESPNU at 8 p.m. The squad will also host four games against teams that advanced to the postseason a year ago, including nationally-televised contests with Baylor (Jan. 24) and Kansas (Feb. 14) on ESPN's Big Monday.
Season tickets for Kansas State's entire 18-game home schedule are currently on sale. Season ticket packages start at $345 for bench seating, while Cat Cushion and Chairback pricing starts at $365 and $445, respectively. There are also a limited number of Young Alumni packages priced at $200, which are available for all K-State undergraduate degree recipients in the past five years (August 2006 to August 2010). An Ahearn Fund contribution is required for all premium, Chairback and cushioned seating.
Current season ticket holders will have until Tuesday, Aug. 31 to renew their seats. Early-bird savings of $10 off the processing fee is available for those renewing their tickets online by Friday, Aug. 13 and paying in full utilizing eCheck. Fans may also take advantage of two credit card payment plans, including a five-payment option (Aug. 16, Sept. 15, Oct. 15, Nov. 15 and Dec. 15) for those who renew by Aug. 13 and a four-payment choice for those who purchase by Aug. 31.
New season ticket holders should complete the season ticket application available on the front page of www.k-statesports.com, or by calling the K-State Athletic Ticket Office toll-free at (800) 221.CATS. The ticket office will contact applicants with available ticket locations in order of the athletic department's priority points system in mid-September.

When does a fetus qualify as a person or human being?Is it at conception or birth?
A recent news clip on television showed a doctor who performs abortions at 21- 28 weeks. Since some babies are born and live on their own at 26 weeks- even if in an incubator, iIwas perturbed by the fact. However, a friend said that a fetus is not a child until it takes its first breath. Then he said it becomes a living soul. I asked about the child who moves in its mother's womb.He said that is like comparing apples and oranges. Most of all, he was offended by the idea of telling someone- like a mother- what to do with her own body. he said it is her right to make such a decision. When is a fetus a human being- at conception or at birth?
I think the baby should always be considered a human being. Its not a baby duck or something!! Its a baby human.
Some people do not believe the baby qualifies to count as a person until birth. Personally, I say that is ridiculous. I'm 28 weeks pregnant and my baby already moves, practices breathing, plays, cries and sleeps exactly like a newborn would. He's just not quite ready to be born yet.
I've always seen my baby as a person, but it became more and more real as he started to look more and more like a human. I'd say around 12 weeks would most definately have been the defining week in regards to seeing him as a person. He looked human, played in the womb like a human and even reacted to me being tickled when we had the ultrasound done 
Either way... abortions at 21-28 weeks is ridiculous and that man should be jailed for murder. Babies feel pain at that point and can be born and live long, healthy lives. If the mother did not want the baby she should have gotten an abortion much earlier AT LEAST so the baby wouldn't be able to feel the pain. That is just cruel and its made me feel sick. 
That is my personal opinion on the matter, I'm sure other's differ.
