Question about VGA cable connecting PC to HDTV monitor to get 1080p resolution.?
Experts needed. I'm a bit confuse about what kind of VGA cable to use to connect my PC to my HDTV (1080p). My computer has a max. resolution of 1920x1200 and it can also support 1920x1080 HDTV resolution. I have a DVI-D output on my video card and I have a VGA converter plugin. So can I use any type of VGA cable to get 1080p resolution from my PC to my HDTV? Is there any difference between VGA, SVGA, UXGA, and QXGA and cables? Will the UXGA from "Cables To Go" connect my PC to HDTV and produce a 1080p?
I was thinking about using a dvi-d to hdmi, but the problem with that is I can't get audio from my tv speaker using a 3.5 audio cable. My HDTV isn't setup to receive HDMI connection with a 3.5 audio. Oh well thanks everyone.
