hi, i have a 55 inch jvc dlp projection tv that just shut off. when i turn it on i can hear the fan turn on?
There was a message awhile back before we put it in storage that read need to replace bulb soon. we have had the tv out of storage now for 3 months and finally it has gone out. how do i replace the bulb it is a jvc 55 inch dlp , i have been told that it is a easy fix ,but i have also been told that since it is open that i should just go ahead and get it cleaned. i just want to get it to work right now. i cant afford the cleaning right now that will have to come later.
find a replacement blub. this could be off of ebay or from local TV repair shop. on the back of the TV will be a little door with a couple of screws. MAKE SURE IT'S UNPLUGGED FROM THE WALL. take out the screws, open the door and replace the bulb. more or less like you would do in your kitchen or bathroom. replace the door and screws. plug it back in and turn it on. it will either work or it won't. if it does you have saved yourself a few dollars. if not THEN call a TV repairman
