DVI-D to VGA Converter:: Fusion of Digital and Analog Technology
DVI-D to VGA converter permits you to use a 15 Pin HD connector to connect a VGA projector or a monitor to a computer that has DVI-D video card. It supports a VGA resolution of 1900 x1200, 1600 x 1200, 1280x1024 and lower and is HDCP compliant. Can I use a HDMI to DVI converter on my PC monitor for my PS3, it isn't HD but?
I got a old PC monitor and i want to connect it to my PS3, i was wondering if the HDMI-DVI conversion would work, and also will a RCA/Composite to 3.5 mm Jack work for the audio? Any help is appreciated.
My Monitor has no 480p, 480i as far as i know, all i know is that it is relatively old,about 4-5 years and that it has decent quality picture when i use it for my PC.
The question you should be asking is whether or not your monitor is HDCP-compliant.
Not all DVI monitors have HDCP, and the PS3's HDMI port will ONLY work with HDCP-compliant monitors.
If you attempt to connect the PS3's HDMI jack to a DVI monitor that is not HDCP-compliant, you will get NO image.
